Xiaomi Watch S1 to launch tomorrow alongside Xiaomi 12!

Xiaomi Watch S1 Pro is set to arrive at the big event tomorrow. While rumours around Watch S1 were popping up in the past, there wasn't a specific launch timeline until now. Earlier the launch was suggested for the first quarter in 2022, which could be true for other regions. However, in China the launch will take place on December 28 with the Xiaomi 12 series.

The information comes from Xiaomi's Weibo page that put out a poster to confirm the launch. Along with the launch date, the teaser showcases the design of the Xiaomi Watch S1. The watch appears in a circular case with two circular buttons on the right side. There's a flat display up top, details of which are not known. In fact Xiaomi didn't reveal any specifications of the Xiaomi Watch S1. So we will have to wait until tomorrow to find out other details of this watch.

That said plenty of information is available about the Xiaomi 12, so let's quickly run through it. The Xiaomi 12 gets a major design change over its predecessor, Mi 11. On the rear, Xiaomi 12 has a rectangular camera module unlike the square one on the Mi 11. Whereas at the front, there's a centred punch-hole display instead of a far left placed punch-hole.

The Xiaomi 12 will be powered by Qualcomm's flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. It will be the second 8 Gen 1 device after the Moto Edge X30. The device will sport a 6.28-inch OLED display with 120Hz refresh. Xiaomi 12 will feature triple rear cameras including a 50-megapixel primary rear camera with Optical Image Stabilisation, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens with a 123-degree field of view and a 3x zoom lens. While at the front, it will have a 32-megapixel camera for selfies.

The Xiaomi 12 is expected to ship with a 4500mAh battery with support for 67W wired charging, 30W wireless and 10W reverse wireless charging. Along with that, it may get a stereo speaker setup powered by Dolby Atmos. The device is likely to run Android 12 with MIUI 13 on top. Moreover, it could have support for 5G, Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6, NFC and more.
