Windows 11 22H2 getting close to be finalized

 


Windows 11 22H2 is not expected to launch until the fall of 2022. However, it appears that Microsoft is already getting close to completing the development. According to a script file leaked online (via Deskmodder), the next version of Windows 11 (codenamed Sun Valley 2) will be signed off as “feature complete” on February 4, 2022, and “config complete” on March 4, 2022.

While we still haven’t seen a lot of new features and improvements through the active development channel of the Windows Insider Program, there is still some time for the company to include more significant changes.

The news only means that the feature update will be declared complete after these dates. No more major features will be added. And the company will then focus only on fixing bugs during the remaining time to ensure the new version is stable by October or November.

Thus far, the development team has been improving the Start menu with the settings to control the “Recommended” section.

The Taskbar is getting tweaks like clocks for all monitors, a new option to share a window while presenting on a Teams call, and a mute button for calls. Also, Windows 11 22H2 is expected to include new system hardware indicators for volume, brightness, privacy, and airplane mode to align the new design language.

The desktop is getting a Spotlight collection to refresh the experience every day automatically will new wallpapers. File Explorer will receive some design tweaks, but nothing major.

You will find an updated version of the Settings app with new features and more settings for the Control Panel. For example, you will now be able to uninstall updates and control more networking settings.

The Touch Keyboard theming will expand to more input features, including the emoji panel, voice typing, and IMEs.

The Sun Valley 2 update will introduce a new Voice Access feature to control your laptop or desktop computer using their voice.

Microsoft is also expected to begin the Windows Subsystem for Android (WSA) rollout with version 22H2 to bring support to run Android apps and games on Windows 11 and more.

Windows 11 update KB5008353 (Build 22000.469) brings new subscription settings

  As part of the “C” release, Microsoft  is making available non-security update KB5008353 for devices running Windows 11.  This optional update delivers a slew of fixes,  improvements, and new features that the company plans to roll out to everyone during the February 2022 Patch Tuesday update.
